MuseumCamp 2018

August 15-17, $150-250 sliding scale, REGISTER NOW (alumni only at this time)

The first year we built an exhibition.
The second year we measured social impact.
The third year we built a deck of space-making cards.
The fourth year we wrote a zillion zines.
The fifth year we made a calendar for changemakers.

Join us for a very special MuseumCamp August 15-17 at the MAH. This year the focus is all about YOU. Come share your projects, challenges, questions, wild successes and epic failures with fellow creative changemakers from around the world. We at the MAH are interested in supporting changemakers and creative leaders more actively in the years to come, and we’re starting here, together.

To emphasize shared learning and deep connections, we’re making a few changes. We’re making it more intimate by restricting the overall camp size to 75 people. Instead of doing an external group project, we’re going to spend more time getting to know each other and workshopping our specific projects and challenges. We’ll amp up the lightning talks, unconference sessions, and workshops. And of course, there will be plenty of eating, laughing, and ocean-swimming into the wee hours of the night.

Because of this more intimate focus, we’re opening this camp first to MuseumCamp alumni. If alumni don’t fill all the spots, we will open up additional application-based spots in the spring. For the purposes of this camp, “alumni” includes anyone who attended or was accepted to attend a prior MuseumCamp.

This year, given the focus, we’re asking everyone to plan to share one thing – a project, a methodology, a workshop, a talk, a dance lesson… think about what you want to share and we will plan an amazing camp together.
